Can you eat bagels on a Keto diet?
Of course! This recipe uses almond flour in the recipe and is a fantastic low-carb alternative to bagels. This recipe has only 6 net carbs and is great for those on the keto or paleo diet.
What are keto bagels?
Keto bagels are typically made of cloud dough. Which essentially is made out of almond flour, cheese mixture, and eggs. Giving it a texture similar to regular bagel dough but without the added carbs.
Almond flour is made of blanched almonds and lower in carbs than all-purpose flour. It is also gluten-free.
Using almond flour can make the recipe extremely crumbly. So adding (A LOT) of mozzarella cheese helps the dough bind together.
I also enjoying baking keto style because I don’t have to wait for the dough to rise. Who has time for that?

Do you toss the water that is released from the mozzarella after you microwave it?
