What are green tomatoes?
Green tomatoes are basically unripe tomatoes. With enough sunlight, the tomatoes will turn red. Green tomatoes are firmer and are the only tomatoes that are perfect for frying. They have a tart flavor, but turn slightly sweet once fried.
