Like most parents, I have a to-do list that is about a mile long and some things just keep getting pushed down to the bottom of the list. Keeping a clean car is on the bottom of that list. So what if I have goldfish smashed in between the seat cushions and toys scattered around. Having a busy schedule just makes it difficult to get everything you need done.
Thankfully Walmart has a wonderful and convenient Automotive Care Center where I was able to drop off my car for a routine oil change while I did a little shopping. Not only did I cross a few things off my to-do list, I didn’t have to waste time sitting in a waiting room.
The inside of my car may be dirty, but because Walmart uses Pennzoil to help clean out sludge lesser oils leave behind my engine is squeaky clean. Pennzoil is designed for complete protection and will allow you to drive an extra 550 miles per year vs. a dirty engine. Let the professionals get to work once you choose which Pennzoil is needed for your vehicle:
- Conventional Motor Oil – A traditional oil base, fortified with Active Cleaning Agents™ to continuously prevent dirt and contaminants from creating performance-robbing deposits.
- High Mileage Vehicle – Helps to reduce leaks and oil consumption in worn or higher mileage engines. It’s a motor oil that is specifically designed for new or late model vehicles with over 75,000 miles, to help keep the engines running clean and going strong for a long time.
- Platinum (Synthetic Motor Oil) – Best cleanliness and protection in the Pennzoil line-up. With PurePlus™ Technology, the Platinum® motor oil is proven to keep pistons up to 40% cleaner than the toughest industry standard. PurePlus™ Technology is a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into a 99.5% pure base oil.
I recommend taking care of this errand yourself because then your husband won’t even notice that you bought a few things that weren’t on the shopping list. He will be happily distracted by the fact that he no longer has to do it this weekend. It’s a win-win!
They are open seven days a week and conveniently opened from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (check your local store for hours.) No appointment is necessary, so I was able to just drive right up to the bay doors and hand my keys over. You can also opt to have them page you over the intercom or call your cell phone when your maintenance is completed.
Who knew getting your oil change could be so easy and convenient?

Haha! I also try to keep the inside of my car clean…but it's kindof a losing battle in the middle of the winter. Thanks for sharing! #client
I usually take my truck to the car wash we have a few miles away to get the inside and outside cleaned along with the oil change but that involves sitting around in there lobby wasting precious time! If Wal-Mart would only add a car wash to their auto shop… Wouldn't that be great! One can dream right?
