We had some crazy weather last
week! Schools and most businesses were closed for most of the week due to an
ice and storm that came through. I know to the majority of the country, you
wouldn’t have even blinked at what we call a snow storm. But this is Texas,
y’all. This meant days of not leaving the house, staying in pajamas all day and having fun with my guys.
We spent the days making soups, snuggling up on the couch
reading books, creating crafts and watching people who don’t know how to drive
in ice try to figure out how not to spin out. Awesome entertainment I tell you!
Saturday we bundled up and headed outside to make
snowballs, did some construction work in the backyard and managed to go
sledding before freezing our southern tooshes off. Just seeing my son’s face light up as he
played in the snow was priceless. But as
much as I enjoy being stuck at home for a few days, I am so glad the snow only
lasted a few days. It can just be so gloomy and depressing when the sun doesn’t
shine for a week.

I’m glad we finally got a few days of winter, but now I am officially ready for spring!

He would have stayed out all day if I would have let him! I only like the snow for about 2 days and then I am over it.

Snow in Texas? Glad to her your little one got to experience it. Out here in Chicago we still have a ton of snow. I am looking forward to spring too!
