Fridays at our house have become designated movie night. At the end of the week we are all exhausted and the thought of going out to a busy restaurant and movie theater just doesn’t sound appealing. So instead, we pick a family friendly flick, make a delicious snack and snuggle up on the couch for a fun, relaxing night at home.
One of our favorite movie night snacks that I make are my chocolate covered caramel popcorn balls. These are so good, easy to make and sure to please your entire family! We hit up our local Sam’s Club this past Saturday, and stopped by the ACT II popcorn demo for a snack while we shopped. This reminded me to pick up another pack of the popcorn since we seem to go through it so quickly! (You can download the Ibotta app and get a $2 off coupon for ACT II popcorn, while supplies last.)
Ingredients needed:
1 bag of ACT II popcorn
1 package of caramel candies
8 cake pop sticks
1 Bakers milk chocolate cups
Pop the popcorn according to the package. Place popcorn in large bowl and set aside. Place the caramel in a microwave safe dish and heat until melted and smooth. Pour over popcorn until well coated. While the caramel is cooling, heat up the chocolate in microwave until melted.
Shape the popcorn into small balls. Place a stick in each ball and dip into melted chocolate. Place on wax paper until chocolate is set. Now you have the perfect movie watching snack!
