These homemade blueberry donuts are fluffy and taste great with coffee!
These donuts are made with ingredients you probably already have and only take about 15 minutes to bake.
No need to use your big mixer, just whisk everything together in a large mixing bowl and pour into a donut pan.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Donuts taste great any time of day! I don’t know about you, but some days I’m too lazy to get dressed and run to the donut store.
Baking homemade donuts are just as good and will certainly have your family running to the kitchen table and asking for seconds.
How to make homemade blueberry donuts
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup frozen blueberry
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt in mixing bowl.
- Stir in buttermilk, eggs, butter and vanilla.
- Lightly mix in the blueberries.
- Add mix to donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
*If you don’t want to use buttermilk, you can substitute for regular dairy milk or vanilla almond milk. Toss the blueberries in flour and then into the mixture. This will prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the batter.
You can add icing or enjoy straight out of the oven. I think they are sweet enough and prefer them without icing.
