I made these potato apple skillet fries for our Christmas Eve party and it was a hit! This recipe is easy to make in large batches, so I think this will be my new go-to recipe for when needing to feed a crowd.
Ingredients:
4 tbsp oil
2 cups chopped yellow onion
4 cups chopped potato
1/2 cup apple cider
1 chopped Granny Smith apple
1 tbsp chopped thyme
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions:
Heat oil over medium heat, add onion and cook until golden brown. Add potatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Then add cider, cover skillet and cook until potatoes are tender.
Stir in apple, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook for additional 5 minutes. Enjoy!
