Happy New Year! This time of year is wonderful. We get a fresh start, reach for new goals and have a chance to reflect on the previous year. I pick a word for the year to focus and strive for.
The new year is full of possibilities and refreshing the old.
Along with setting my goals for 2019, I like to pick one word to focus on for the entire year. It helps narrow and focus my goals that I want to achieve.
My Word for 2019: Simplify
Simplify Possessions – Declutter our home. I’m working on this and it’s certainly an ongoing process. But we don’t need more stuff and my home seems much more organized when I keep our possessions to a minimum.
Simplify Routines – I’m working on creating a daily and weekly cleaning schedule that will help keep my home tidy and my life easier. I’m not wasting my evenings clearing off the clutter from the counter if we clean as we go and everyone things in their designated place. I also spend a large chunk of time each week creating a menu & grocery list. But by creating a master list with a months worth of meals, I can easily choose what I want to make from the list and not have to reinvent the wheel every week.
Simplify Work – I love blogging, but it’s time consuming! So my goal is to set aside certain days of the week for batch working. This way my brain is only focusing on one task at a time and can get more done without the chaos.
In a nut shell, I want to simplify mine and my families life so that we aren’t making life harder than it needs to be!
