Mexican food is serious business in Fort Worth. On just
about every corner you can find a place to grab a taco. But you’ll never hear
me complain, I could eat it every day. When Chad and I were dating he always took me out to Mexican restaurants knowing it was my favorite, but as soon as we got married he refused to go for about a year. But I guess that’s smart thinking – you never want to upset the bride before the big day:)
Mi Cocina – Has a contemporary, sleek atmosphere that is perfect for a date night. This is my favorite all around Mexican restaurant.
Mexican Inn – I have been eating here since I was about 5 and the same waitress still is serving us. Not much to look at, but their homemade corn chips and salsa are to die for!
Costa Vida – Baja style fast food, made fresh. The juicy brisket tacos and cilantro rice are delicious. Great for a week night dinner.
Joe T. Garcia’s – You may have to wait to be seated, only 3 menu options and credit is not accepted, but sitting out in the huge, beautiful courtyard makes it all better – especially with their killer frozen margaritas to cool you off from the Texas heat.
Los Vaqueros – Located in the Stockyards, this is the perfect place for after church lunch. They can accommodate large families and their enchiladas are wonderful. You may even catch a glimpse of a country singer who is in town playing at Billy Bobs.
