Crafts are a daily must do in our house, and I just can’t bring myself to throw away any of Carson’s creations. I have been wanting a nice cork board picture frame to display his artwork, but haven’t found exactly what I wanted. So why not create my own!
I got my inspiration for this project from Restoration Hardware. I like everything about it except for the price. The RH version costs $350 and my version was $55. I bought the frame for $36 (with coupon), $14 cork board and $5 foam board from Hobby Lobby.
Materials needed…
Picture frame (Mine is 24″x36″)
Rolled cork board
Foam board
Frame hangers
Packing or duct tape
Tools needed…
X-Acto knife
Ruler
Tape Measure
Hammer
Spray adhesive
Instructions…
First you will need to measure the opening of frame and cut the foam board and cork to size. Next, spray and mount the cork board to the foam board (careful not to pull hard so it does not rip.) Insert this into the back of the frame and tape all around. Then you will need to add the frame hangers and wire across the back. Hang your beautiful creation on the wall and enjoy!

Thanks for the tutorial! Your cork board turned out beautiful!
I love this! I do have a question: When you say foam board, what are you referring to? Is this the thicker poster board type boards?
Thank you so much for linking up to The 7 Year Itch link up!
Yes, it's the thick poster board. They are about 1/4" thick and are sort of squishy in the middle.
