Make your next outdoor adventure more fun with easy tips, creative ideas, and family-friendly activities that turn any trip into an unforgettable experience.

Outdoor adventures are already fun, but there usually comes a point in the trip where you long for your comfortable bed at home.
On a badly prepared trip, this moment could arrive after the first night! When planned properly, any outdoor adventure can be so enjoyable that you really don’t want to return home at all – and here are a few things you can do to make your trip ten times more fun.

Camp in a proper RV
Tents are cool and all, but they’re never going to be that comfortable. Even if you’ve got an expensive tent, you still rely on a good blow-up mattress to sleep well at night – and let’s not forget you may have to take down the tent every morning before putting it up again in the evening.
Outdoor adventures are way better when you camp in a proper RV. You get more home comforts right off the bat, and there are plenty of fully-equipped RV resorts you can pull up in that give you access to things like pools, recreational facilities, and so on. Bedtime is so much easier for everyone to deal with, and you also get better cooking facilities in your RV, so the entire experience goes up a level or two.
If you’re not fortunate enough to be able to buy an RV (which is a great family investment if you travel a lot), then you can always rent one for your trips anyway.
Make sure you have all the gear
A lot of people struggle to have fun in the great outdoors because they’re under-equipped. You want to go on a hike as a family, but everyone’s wearing regular sneakers and jeans. If you have all the gear, then it’s so much easier to enjoy outdoor activities, as they feel like less of a struggle.
Equip yourself with everything you need for whatever activities you’re doing, and you’ll find that there are fewer things for people to complain about. You’ve got plenty of water, comfortable clothing, snacks, a mini shelter to have a break under, and so on.

Create an itinerary full of activities
Outdoor adventures quickly get boring when you’ve got no sense of what to do. Walking through National Parks or forests is fun, to a point. It’s also probably not that enjoyable for kids because they don’t see an end in sight.
Instead, you need to create an itinerary full of activities for everyone to do. You’ll go for a hike in the morning, then kayaking in the afternoon – or rock climbing another day. The great thing about an outdoor adventure is that there are so many activities to try, so you’re spoilt for ideas. As long as you’ve got a clear schedule with things to do, the kids will be happy.
Camp with more home comforts, bring all the right gear with you, and plan what you’re going to do – making sure you mix in loads of different fun activities. That’s all you need to do to make any outdoor adventure 10x more enjoyable for the whole family, meaning nobody will be complaining about being outside and wanting to go home.
