Our boy is finally a man…err fisherman. The hubby took Carson fishing for the first time over the weekend and they let me tag along.
He was a little impatient and kept casting then immediately reeling in the line, but then asking why he hadn’t caught a fish. After about the 10th time of his hook getting caught in the seaweed, we had the genius idea of taking the hook off. (And by we, I mean Chad – I think I would have just made the problem worse.)
We were about to call it a day when Chad caught one. Carson was so proud that he got to help reel it in and hold it up for mommy to see. But the smiles turned to tears when we released it back in the water instead of cooking it. Ha! All was well once we convinced him that we would come back and catch more.
I see many more fishing trips in this boys future!
