Golf
Tanglewood Resort is the perfect destination for a long weekend getaway. The golf course offers an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and architect Ralph Plumer. The greens are open, making it enjoyable for those that sometimes shank the ball. It’s me, I’m the golfer that does that!
The course has several holes that overlook Lake Texoma making you want to enjoy the scenery and forget that you 4-putted the previous hole. With its gorgeous views and holes suitable for all skill levels make this a wonderful getaway in Texas.

Accommodations
The resort offers everything from hotel rooms, themed suites in The Tower, and luxury villas that feature a full kitchen, living, and dining room.
We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe suite that is located in The Tower. It was glamorous, and the perfect stay for a couples’ getaway.
Each of the six suites in The Tower takes up the entire floor and is only for those 21 years of age and older. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the quiet and seclusion the suite offered.
My favorite parts of the room were the claw foot tub, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a balcony that offered stunning views of the property and Lake Texoma.

Dining at Tanglewood Resort
The resort offers a mix of elegant and casual dining options on the property.
19th Hole
This is a typical clubhouse restaurant. Perfect to grab a snack and drinks before your tee time. Then after you play the last hole, stop in for a quick lunch before heading home.
Tanglewood Restaurant
This restaurant recently changed to a buffet-style restaurant that is open Thursday – Sunday for breakfast and dinner.
Be sure to check the website for dinner themes of the week. We ate on Thursday night which offered a Mexican buffet and again Friday night we had an Italian dinner. Both were excellent!
Tanglewood Bar & Grill
Choose between poolside patio dining or the indoor restaurant. They feature multiple high screens throughout the restaurant to enjoy all the games. My favorite menu item is the chips & queso for an appetizer and then the fish & chips. So yummy! Open daily for lunch and dinner.
Pool
The pool area is gorgeous. It’s a 3-level pool (with the top level being a kiddie pool.) Enjoy playing on the slide, splashing in the pool, or soaking up the rays on the loungers.
It’s the perfect place to relax after a round of golf. Guests can continue to lounge poolside and order food or drinks from their chairs. Isn’t that the best part of vacation?!
