Tanglewood Resort On Lake Texoma

If you are looking for an enjoyable getaway, then head to Tanglewood Resort on Lake Texoma. The 700-acre resort is located 1.5 hours from Fort Worth and is near the Oklahoma border.

Tanglewood overlooks stunning Lake Texoma. This relaxing destination features an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, a luxurious spa, an outdoor pool, a playground, and multiple restaurants.

My husband and I enjoyed a romantic weekend in a luxury villa, an “Old Fashioned” Christmas party for guests over 21, and dining at the Tanglewood Bar & Grill. It was the perfect destination for us to enjoy a few days before the holiday craziness began.

Accommodations

Hotel guests have several booking options from hotel rooms and luxury villas to themed suites.

We stayed in a one-bedroom luxury villa with a private balcony. The spacious villa had a living room, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, and a bedroom with a king-size bed, large bathroom, and garden jacuzzi tub. It was wonderful and made leaving the room difficult!

Guests can also book a suite in the Tower. Each suite has the entire floor and all have unique names like the Marilyn Monroe, Suite, Elvis Presley Suite, and James Bond Suite. I want to book one the next time we visit!

Restaurants at Tanglewood Resort

Tanglewood Bar & Grill is open for poolside dining, lunch, and dinner. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my husband had a hamburger. Both were amazing!

There are also several big-screen TVs in the restaurant. Which was a bonus for my sports-watching husband.

Lakeview Steakhouse is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This restaurant is a great place if you are looking for a date night. You can’t be wrong with anything on the menu. Options include delicious steak, seafood, dessert, and of course great wine selections.

Of course, no visit to Tanglewood Resort is complete until you visit The Tower Whisky Bar.

The Tower Whiskey Bar overlooks Lake Texoma, with a gorgeous view at sunset. The bar serves premium whiskey and other cocktails.

The bar is open nightly at 5 pm for guests 21 and over. On weekends, guests can enjoy live music as well.

Tranquility Spa and Salon

Located only a few steps from the pool area, is the building for the spa. Guests can book a relaxing spa treatment and enjoy a few hours of pampering. They offer everything from a variety of massage packages, facials, salon services, and spa treatments specifically for men.

Play Golf

Enjoy a round of golf at the 18-hole course. It’s been fully renovated with an updated design and beautiful greens. If you are pressed for time, you can enjoy an hour of playing at the indoor golf simulator.

Fitness Classes

The resort offers free daily fitness to hotel guests. Pack your workout clothes and enjoy a yoga session, pilates, or cardio dance class. Classes are offered daily at 9 am with select evening classes.

Resort Pool

The beautiful three-tiered pool is the place to sit back and relax during the hot summer months. The pool area features a slide, tiki bar, and chaise lounges.

With the three pools, there are plenty of places to splash around and work on your tan. Just outside the pool area is an outdoor stage where live music takes place. This entire area is beautiful and has the perfect family-friendly atmosphere.

Lake Texoma

Lake Texoma is shared with both Texas and Oklahoma. Visitors can fish for striper (what is widely caught on the lake), swim, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking and boating.

There are multiple marinas in the area to rent kayaks and boats.
