Opened in 1969 LB Houston is now Luna Vista. The course has tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and sand traps as well as a golf shop, practice facility, lessons, club fittings, and bar & grill.
Prairie Lakes
Prairie Lakes Golf Course in Grand Prairie offers 27 holes recently renovated, including Texas’ largest practice area featuring 8 target greens with a fairway. Located on Mountain Creek Lake in Grand Prairie, the course offers picturesque views and fantastic conditions in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Ranger’s Golf Club
Year-round public golf center offering an 18-hole course, driving range, putting green & clubhouse. This is the world’s only Major League Baseball-branded golf course and is in the heart of Arlington.
The club also has a 23-acre practice area that includes a double-ended range, a practice hole, and two short game areas – one with four greens and the other with one green. There is also a full on-site restaurant and pro shop.
RB Golf Club and Resort
Located about an hour’s drive from Fort Worth is the only 18-hole golf course in Wise County. The course boasts an enjoyable layout suitable for players of all skill levels, with picturesque views of Bridgeport Lake and tree-lined fairways.
RB Golf Club and Resort also features a covered driving range that sits atop a hill with beautiful views of Bridgeport Lake. The shaded driving range is much appreciated during the hot summer months. Tanglewood Resort Golf Course
The golf course offers an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and architect Ralph Plumer. Several holes overlook Lake Texoma and the fairways are a mix of both tree-lined and wide open spaces. This is one of my favorite public courses and is suitable for golfers of all skill levels.
There is an onsite resort that features a spa, resort-style pool, and multiple restaurants, making this a wonderful golfer’s getaway in Texas.
Tenison Glen Golf Course
Opened in 1924 and became Dallas’ first municipally owned golf course. Enjoy a day on the tree-line fairways, or hitting a bucket of balls at the state-of-the-art practice facility. They also offer a pro shop, restaurant, and ongoing events & tournaments guests can participate in.
Tribute to The Colony
The course is home to the Ascendant LPGA Tour benefitting Volunteers of America. With two 18-hole courses that are modeled after a world-renowned golf course in Scotland.
