Sooner or later, most Amerian families will decide to embark upon their first road trip together, so they can see more of the amazing sites the country has to offer, and vacation on their own tie to their own schedule.
Road trips can be a brilliant bonding experience, but as anyone who has kids will know, too much time spent cooped up in one vehicle can also spell disaster!
The good news is there are lots of fun road trip activities that will keep the kids happy and entertained, so they are less likely to start squabbling, strumming, or otherwise being bored.

Road Trip Entertainment for Kids
So, as well as Googling for an RV technician near me just in case, and as well as ensuring that the car or motorhome is full of gas, before you head off on your next road trip, be sure to read below to keep your kids happy on the road:
Collecting cars
This one is as classic, but it works great on long road trips. Ask the kids to look out for a particular car and let them add a sticker to a book every tie they see, say a VW Beetle or a Cadillac. Alternatively, you could have them see just how many different types of car they can spot with the winner getting a small prize.
Collaborative playlists
No road trip would be complete without some great tunes to listen to on the road, so a really fun activity you can all do together is adding songs to a collaborative playlist. Apps like Spotify make this easy to do, and your kids will have so much fun adding their favorites to the playlist that they will forget to ask you if you’re there yet for at least half an hour!
Tell stories
Something else that can be a lot of fun is having each member of the family take turns to tell a story as you drive. If you want, you sn have a theme, such as Route 66 or things that happen on road trips, or you can make it more general. You’ll be amazed at how creative even very small children can be when they get the chance, and you’ll probably find some of their stories hilarious too.
I spy
The prospect of playing I spy may not seem too enthralling at the best of times, but when you’re n a road trip with constantly changing scenery and lots of new information to take in, it can be surprisingly fun, and it really is a great way to get young kids excited about their vacation time, so maybe give it a try.
Journaling
Give them a blank diary and lots of colored pens and let them create their own record of the ross trip complete with musings, drawings and anything else they can think to add. It will be a cute record of your vacation.
As you can see, there are so many fun activities to do on your average road trip, that you can ensure a fun time is had by all!
