Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. The house is decorated, the smell of Christmas scented candles fills the room, snuggling under a blanket (because I live in Texas the air conditioner is on!) and enjoying a festive dessert. What is it about a Christmas tree in the living room that makes you want to sit and stare at it all night?
I love that when it’s lit, my family gathers together in the living room and we sit and talk. I whip up a delicious treat and we talk about our favorite memories and little man tells us what gifts he wants and how he simply CANNOT wait another day until Christmas morning. It’s the perfect way to end the our day.
This past weekend I made brownie shakes for us to enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup Great Value® milk
3 cups vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cups brownie mix, dry
1/2 cup M&M’S® Brand Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies, crushed
Directions:
Mix milk, ice cream and brownie mix in a blender.
Dip the top of the glass in the milk shake.
Then dip the top of the glass into the chopped M&M’S® so that the rim is lined with the candies.
You can find the milk and Holiday M&M’S® at your local Walmart.
Make sure you pick up all the ingredients for this milkshake before Christmas because every time you purchase M&M’s® at Walmart, fresh nutrient-rich milk will be donated to families who may otherwise go without.

This holiday season, The Great American Milk Drive will deliver its 1 millionth gallon to Feeding America and its nationwide food bank network. This holiday season, consider giving back to families that do not have access to fresh milk. Milk’s 9 essential nutrients, including 8 grams of high-quality protein per 8 ounce serving, can help to ensure that kids have the potential to play, learn and grow.
What are your favorite holiday treats to make for your family?
I love trying new holiday inspired shakes. My favorite is Pumpkin Spice and Egg Nog. Thanks for the awesome recipe.
Oh my goodness this looks so so good! I love holiday recipes, so I am definitely gonna try this one.
I will definitely make this brownie shake. It would not only be a delicious treat for my family, it would also make me feel good that I have helped Feeding America. Thanks for the recipe and for letting us know how to help others in need.
That shake does sound delicious. I love that M&M's and Walmart have gotten together to donate milk!!
It's my favorite time of year, probably because of all the yummy treats. Your milkshake sounds delicious, and is made even sweeter knowing it can help others.
