5 Tips to Organize a Small Pantry
Remove Everything from Your Pantry
It’s best to start fresh, so remove all items from the pantry. This is a good time to donate any items to a local food bank and double check expiration dates on canned goods. Starting with a clean slate will make the process go more smoothly.
Make It Look Pretty
Honestly, you and everyone in your household looks in the pantry multiple times a day. So why not make it look pretty?! Since you have removed everything from the space, this is a great time to add a fresh coat of paint or fun wallpaper.
Use Canisters, Bins and Organizers
I recommend using clear plastic containers and canisters. This allows you see in a glance if you are running low on pasta, chips, crackers, cereal, etc.
I also use a door organizer to store plastic cups, baggies, chip clips, etc. Mostly items that make it easier for my son to make a snack and go, rather than eating out of the containers and making a mess.
Group Similar Items
Now that everything is out of the pantry, group together items that are similar. If you have a tiny pantry, then this would be a good time to see if some things can be stored on the counter.
Using cute ceramic canister, you can store items like flour, sugar, coffee in those and maximize your pantry space.
Label All The Things
I LOVE labels! Not only do they help keep everything organized, they are just so cute!
You can create custom labels from Wizard Labels that are great for keeping your pantry and home organized. It’s easy to create labels that you can use for organizing the pantry, add to cleaning supplies, to kids storage in their room and so much more! What’s great is that they have free 2-day shipping, so you will get your labels quickly. I also like that you can create and print custom wine labels. These make for a great gift and keep them all year round. Add a label to your favorite wine, wrap and give for housewarming, dinner parties or holiday gifts.
