JOY. Unspeakable Joy. Not only is this my word of the year, but a feeling I want to strive for each and every day.
It has been almost two years since the passing of my husband and I can tell you that joy doesn’t always come easy.
But the way I see it, we have two choices in life. Wake up and chose to be miserable with our circumstances, OR we can wake up an chose joy as we enter into a new day. Joy for another day on earth. Joy for another morning that I get to wake up to see my sons smiling face and always entertaining stories.
Some days it certainly is a challenge to chose joy. To put on my happy pants and deal with what life throws at me. But even in the hard times and sorrow, joy will always find it’s way to my heart.
So with that, my hope and goal is that we all take time to find joy in the midst of the chaos, the unexpected and everything in between.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
