I know, who knew a museum could be sold out? But now that I have been there, I totally get it! It has five floors with exhibits that include sports, birds, dinosaurs, minerals, oil drilling, universe exploration, children’s museum and so much more. Each exhibit also has multiple hands-on activities and simulators.
My personal favorite exhibit is the Tom Energy Hall, which is a look into how drilling rigs work. Since fracking and drilling is all over Texas, it was fun seeing equipment and 3D models up close.
My little guy would have spent most of his time in the sports exhibit. He got to throw a football while high-speed cameras captured his motion. Then we watched his motion next to a NFL quarterback to see the difference. This was seriously the coolest thing! You can also pick an animal, Olympic or professional athlete and run a race against them. It was also fun to see all the dads try and out run a NFL running back.
Once we visited all the exhibit halls, we headed down to grab a snack at the cafe and sat outside on the plaza while Carson played. It’s such a great museum that both kids and adults can enjoy. Can’t wait to go back!
Do your kids enjoy museums? What exhibits do they like the most?
