Beef Stew in Dutch Oven
What I love about a dutch oven is that can be used when camping, on the stovetop, or in the oven. Cast iron pots and pans in general cook everything evenly, keep everything in the pot at the same temperature, and maintain a great flavor.
Ingredients for Camp Beef Stew
1 pound beef, cubed
Can of baked beans
1 Potato (peeled and chopped)
5 Red Potatoes (chopped)
1 medium yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp thyme
salt & pepper
How to Make Dutch Oven Stew
Cut the beef into bite-size cubes and trim off any fat.
Add the onion, garlic, and beef to a large cast iron pot.
Over medium heat, brown the meat.
Stir in all of the vegetables and remaining ingredients in the pot.
Simmer for 45 minutes before serving.

How do I store leftover Dutch Oven Beef Stew?
The best way to store this easy recipe is in an airtight container or sealable plastic bag that is freezer-friendly. You can freeze the stew for up to 3 months.
To serve, you will need to thaw out the stew. Place in a large pot and simmer for 15 minutes before serving.
