Over vacation we had planned to take Carson to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. We’ve heard that it is the most amazing museum that the entire family will enjoy. So we loaded up the car and drove all the way to Dallas (only 30 miles, but it feels like it’s on the other side of the planet) and arrived at the museum 30 minutes after it opened. But as we tried to find parking, there was a big sign posted that parking was full and museum tickets were sold out! UGH, are you kidding me?!
I was not a happy camper, but what can you do? Who would have thought a museum would be sold out, and on a weekday. So without even getting out of the car, we turn back around and head toward our side of town while trying to come up with something fun to do.
Somewhere along the drive we decided on bowling. Not how I thought the day would go, but you know what? I’m glad our plans got cancelled because that was such a fun day. Just the 3 of us bowling next to a bunch of grandpa’s who thought my little guy was the cutest bowler.
